Walk and Talk 🚶‍♀️
Sunday May 10th Meeting at 1pm in Cheam Park by the Café SM3 8QS, finishing around 2.30pm.
Walk and Talk is a women-only initiative open to women aged 18 and over who live or work in London. The event provides an opportunity to go for a walk with a local police officer and take part in open, informal conversations about women’s safety and community concerns.
About the Event This Women Only Walk and Talk is designed to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where women and girls can engage directly with police officers in a relaxed outdoor setting. By walking side by side, barriers to conversation are reduced, helping people feel more comfortable sharing their views, experiences and concerns. The aim of Walk, Talk and Do is to start meaningful conversations, allowing officers to listen, respond to concerns and identify opportunities to take action, while strengthening trust and confidence in local policing. What You Can Talk About Participants may feel comfortable using this informal setting to: Location 📍 Cheam Park Cheam Park has been chosen as a well-used, accessible public space within the local community. The women-only aspect recognises that some individuals may feel more at ease speaking openly in a space exclusively for women, particularly when discussing sensitive or personal matters. Important Information Cheam SNT Officer PC Pete Cunningham will be leading this engagement. PC Cunningham works with the Sutton Women's centre and the the Domestic one stop shop in supporting female residents in Sutton.
